Tzatziki Recipe

As promised, here is the Tzatziki recipe I used in my Greek Tuna Melt posted for my "Staple Shuffle"


Meg’s Tzatziki sauce

1 1/2 cups plain greek yogurt

1/3 cup grated cucumber

1/2 cup rough chopped cucumber

1/2 - 1 tbs fresh dill (this can be optional)

1 large garlic clove chopped (garlic powder works too)

1 tbs lemon juice (1/2 a lemon squeezed)

1 tsp red wine vinegar

a touch of light agave nectar (my secret!)

*To be honest, I really just add all these ingredients together until I like the taste.  In my kitchen, I rarely ever measure!  That’s the beauty of this sauce and cooking in general*

I use this as a salad dressing, dip for pita chips or veggies, chicken & fish, pasta salads, quinoa salads and on top of burgers!  Possibilities are endless…
